In the wake of historical logging and land use, many regional forests regrew in dense, overcrowded bunches that are less diverse and more vulnerable to wildfire.

Selective thinning of small “fire ladder” trees greatly reduces extreme fire risks in these young vulnerable forests.

The resulting harvested trees offer superior tight grain wood with few small knots and excellent tensile strength; high quality timbers that relieve remaining larger trees from being dangerously overstocked.

Using low-impact milling and modern tooling, we reduce the need for heavy equipment while efficiently producing strong, beautiful timbers crafted by experienced builders.

We also use natural insulation materials such as quality straw bales from conscientious rice farmers and recycled blow-in cellulose, turning agricultural and reclaimed byproducts into high-performance home resources.
